As I had stayed in this hotel duiring efort meeting in Vienna 06/2009, I already knew of it's good location and very friendly service and chose to stay there again, because I had a pleasent time.
I was uinhappy about not being able to get a good rate again, as I had done last year. But to be fair, last year I had booked my stay at least a month in advance.

Great location, had a room on 6th floor overlooking the rooftops of Vienna. Staff were helpful friendly and courteous, the bathroom was same top quality as other Steinberger hotels. The hotel right beside UBahn so easy to get to, there is bike hire right outside front door and there is also a Vapiano next door for excellent reasonably priced pasta / pizza etc.
The additional cost of eur28 for breakfast was rather steep, and the range of food wasn't nearly as wide as i'd have expecetd at that price. Also, I was disturbed to find the floor of my room hadnt been vacuumed properly, I did mention this to the front deskand they said they would deal with it, but when I got back a couple of hours later it still hadn't been properly cleaned.

Almost everything is highly above the average.It is one of the few hotels in Vienna that offers free internet at high speed. Congratulations. This one of the reasons i choose this hotel.
I would recommend of having more comfortable pillows.
